Every company leaves a footprint on the environment – from sourcing and production to trade and transport. Therefore, an active environmental protection is an integral part of our enterprise’s policy.
Environmental Investments
We regard our environment as a significant asset worth protecting. We actively strive to reduce the environmental impact of all our business operations and ensure that not only all legal obligations are fulfilled but also that resource consumption, emissions and waste are avoided and reduced as far as economically viable.
Certification
Dr. P. Pleisch AG has been certified to ISO 9001 since 2003 and to ISO 14001 since 2008.
Exhaust Air Treatment System
An example of our forward-looking policy is the air treatment system that was specifically designed for our requirements in 2000. In an elaborate recycling process, 100% of the exhaust air, emitted from the drying-process of our products, has been treated for re-use ever since.
CO₂ Reduction
We constantly try to invest in new climate-friendly technologies such as new power sources, for example our solar plant, which we installed in 2020 with a nominal output of more than 90 kWp and expanded by a further 80 kWp in 2023. In 2015 we began with the reforestation of our forest and since 2021, we have been using heat recovery from the drying air for our laboratory ventilation systems.

The chart below shows our carbon footprint in recent years. We continue to try to promote CO₂ compensation and are committed to new investments in the environmental sector.
We want to produce sustainably and continuously improve our processes and reduce our energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.
New investments should be ecolgically and economically sensible.
